Technology Trumps

You know your home is "techy" when all in the house are on ipad, kindles and smartphones.  I am hooked on Words with Friends and Draw Something.  They are just Fun!  But,  Recently my sister was visiting from Florida.  We were all in same room but sending each other another picture or word for the next turn.  An almost "speechless" conversation.  Those who know me know that is rare.

But, WOW, how this can translate to business.  Check this out the first in our area to have this exclusive app to search for a listing anytime anywhere.  That is with the app we send to our sphere.  All my contacts info right at their fingertips. See directions below and check out this most powerful tool for my Real Estate Career.

A New Year for Real Estate

Southern Living in Tennessee couldn't be better.  As we start 2012, we begin with Real Estate market at an increase.  If you are looking for a city that is growing and an investment that will reap benefits for the future then Tennessee Real Estate may be your answer.  I heard a segment of Dave Ramsey while traveling during the Holidays and he said this is the best time to invest in real estate.  Of course, if all finances in place per Dave Ramsey.

Tennessee has the growth economically, the beauty of all seasons and the friendliest people.  No beaches, but we can fix you up with that too! Working as agent in a network of over 700 cities through Leading Real Estate Co of the World we can help you anywhere.

Interest rates at their lowest,  allowing you the buyer to capitalize on your new investment.  If you are a seller this will equal out.  Sell may be lower but the buy is bigger than ever.  Get the dream home you want!

If we listen to all the "hype" in the media we will never get out of this.  Sure there are foreclosures and Short sales.

I choose to approach this year with a positive outlook!  How about you?

Tennessee Farmers Market Extravaganza-

One of my favorite things to do on Saturday morning is visit the Farmers Market.  This is so relaxing and rewarding.  Living in Murfreesboro, TN, every Saturday our historic downtown square is a host to many local vendors who have brought the best of their produce to display.  They begin about 7 and go til noon thru September.  Sights you will see are many kinds and colors of squash, tomatoes and eggplant.  Just imagine the beautiful colors.  The sounds you hear are a young violinist playing, people scurrying by to get in line for peaches, blackberries and Blueberries and most importantly laughter. My favorite thing is to find someone selling cakes and cookies to snack on while I shop.  The best cake there is the Caramel...Yum... Going Green is also present with the shoppers making use of the recycle bags...we thank you local businesses for encouraging.

So, the next time you are in Murfreesboro or Nashville TN stop in at one of the markets you will not be disappointed.  Check out the websites :

They are full of great Recipes.

Tis the Season

The decorations, the tree, the food and family gatherings begin the Christmas Season.  The excitement sets in and the feeling of joy ....then comes the shopping, the crowds and the 5 weeks of Christmas music.

Tis the season to be jolly....We all begin with this wonderful feeling in search of the perfect gifts.   I love to shop, til it comes to the search.  Gifts, the beautiful wrappings and ribbon.... but the search.

This year began with the search for boots in a particular color. The search went on for weeks.  First, there was 4 stores and no luck.  Then another day 3 more stores and with no results.  Finally, found them online but  then comes the questions.  What if they do not fit?  or What is they are not the right ones? Finally, with time running out, I ordered. They have arrived, but still the questions. Like searching for a needle in a haystack.

How we turn this wonderful time of year into this.  We long to give the perfect gifts, the most creative gifts and the one they love the most.

This is not what Christmas is all about.  We create this stress and all these expectations.  The receiver does not have a clue.  The Gift is not the gift but the thought, the love behind it.  This is like the gift we were given, life ..... the Son upon the cross....for you and me.

Merry Christmas

The Ride /Real Estate

Yesterday, I saw the commercial for the AT&T Blackberry Torch.  Very interesting,  I could not quit thinking about the analogy used in the commercial of amusement rides in a theme park.  ( their marketing concept worked)

Definitely, we can relate to life.  The one ride that sticks out the most is the one where the elevator opens, you step in and it drops several stories down, "the fall".  How true!  Our economy is on that ride right now.

Being in the real estate market since the 90's and past 6 years in relocation, you can really see this ride in motion.  Many have lost jobs and fallen many stories in career ladder.  What a roller coaster we are on right now. The point is we will hit a stopping point.  If you don't have to sell or move don't is the advice.  If you have the opportunity to relocate then do it. The difference is a job change, the opportunity to move up or make that change.  It has never been a better time to buy whether an upgrade, new home or vacation.  The deals are there and this is so healthy for our economy.  Like a financial advisor will say "you can't just sit on your investments it will not grow for sure."  Whatever, you think you might lose on your existing home today you will gain on your new home purchase.  It may just be a wash.  Interest rates are at an all time low. No where to go but up.  Check out http://www.relohomesearch.com/, a great place to start with over 700 cities and 35 countries we can get you where you need to go.

If you are on the" Mad Hatters Tea Party" ride where the tea cups go round and round you may need to get off and make the change. I think going back to our basics, adding a creative touch and maybe stepping out of our comfort zone might just be a starting point.

Fall "in"

I have been itching to get into the "blogging" world, so here it goes.  I have read quite a bit on blogging and believe you can talk about most anything.

My Goal is to use this to provide information on some of my interest and share with others.

Some topics to share will be on Real Estate News, Cooking Tips, Savy Fashion Finds, Good Books, Creative Crafts and maybe some Travels are just a few.

Being from the South food, fun and friends are an important mix.  Almost every event has food.  What to fix is always the question.

With Fall around the corner it is time for apple recipes to surface.  I love Waldorf Salad. It is so light and the colors just scream fall.  Try making it with 3 color of apples and golden raisins.  If you are a calorie watcher use light or fat free mayo and a couple of splenda packets to sweeten.  Put this in a colorful fall colored dish offer a Blessing for your friends, food and family and ready to serve.
